GOVERNANCE

DIRECTORS and OFFICERS
The HLOA Board of Directors functions as a voluntary board representing land and home owners in the High Lostine subdivision. The board meets two to four times annually to discuss and vote on HLOA business. Board members are elected at the annual HLOA spring meeting. The President of the HLOA board is elected by the Board of Directors. The Board appoints the Secretary, Treasurer and Committee Chairs.

CC&R COMPANION DOCUMENT
The CC&R Companion Document consolidates the policies, procedures and decisions adopted by the Board over the Association’s nearly two decade history. The intent is to improve continuity, consistency and communication with the membership. This document remains, and will always remain, a work in progress.

COVENANTS, CONDITIONS, RESTRICTIONS (CC&RS)
The HLOA operates under the 1995 version of the Covenants, Conditions, and Restrictions (CC&Rs). The sole legal source of the HLOA CC&R's is the County Clerk's Office.

LAND OWNER FEES
Land owners pay an annual lot assessment ($150) and annual water system assessment ($430, plus $10.50 per 1,000 gallons used); assessments are subject to change. The Treasurer sends invoices for the annual lot assessment in January, and the invoices for water assessment in May of each year.

CONFLICT RESOLUTION
In 2004 the Board adopted a conflict/dispute resolution process.
